Mendoza is my love

To some people it might look small and unremarkable. You may well never have heard of it. I come from a fairly big city, so at first Mendoza felt like a village to me.

I have only been here a few years, and in that time this wine-growing "village" has completely won me over. Perfect summer rides out between the vines, autumn streets in extraordinary colour and full of people in a good mood, or a spring afternoon when Mendoza wakes up into blossom and you sit with a very good coffee and a warm medialuna.

Why this site exists

Argentina is more than Buenos Aires, tango and football.

I wanted to show you a different side of Argentina — through the eyes of someone who actually lives here.

There are already plenty of guides about Mendoza in English. But when I was looking for information myself, I kept finding the same problem: advice from someone who spent three days here, or information that was useful five years ago but hasn’t been updated since.

And Argentina changes. A lot. Especially prices, opening hours, transport and all those little practical things you only figure out once you actually live here.

So this is not meant to be another perfect travel guide.

I want to share the places I genuinely think are worth your time — from well-known spots to little places you might otherwise miss. Food I love, trips I’ve taken, places still on my list, and the practical things that make travelling around Argentina a little easier.

And, of course, Mendoza beyond the postcards and the wineries.

How I write this

I live here. I explore, I try things, I make mistakes, and I keep discovering new places.

Some recommendations will be based on places I’ve personally visited. Others will be places I’m still hoping to explore. I’ll make that clear, because I don’t want to pretend I’ve been everywhere.
